Fresher format · India · 2026
As a B.Tech fresher in India, you have no full-time work experience — which means recruiters weight academics, internships, projects, and certifications heavily. A great fresher resume shows curiosity, capability, and a bias to build. Padding is the #1 mistake — a tight one-page resume beats a two-page one with fluff.
Fresher Template
Education-first, perfect for freshers
What actually works
Put Education right below your name/contact — recruiters check CGPA/percentage first.
Include SSC (10th), HSC (12th), and B.Tech percentages. Indian recruiters explicitly look for these.
Projects section should have 3 college/personal projects, each with: tech stack, your role, GitHub link, one outcome.
Internships > projects. If you had any internship, prioritize it above projects.
Add certifications from Coursera, NPTEL, or company programs (TCS iON, InfyTQ). Signals initiative.
One page maximum. Zero padding. Recruiters see 100+ fresher resumes/day — brevity wins.
