Company guide · India · 2026
Google's hiring is famously algorithmic-heavy. The resume screen looks for problem-solving depth (competitive programming, open-source contributions), strong CS fundamentals, and system-design chops for senior roles. Metrics matter, but depth matters more.
Tech Template
Code-friendly for engineers
What actually works
Include DSA / competitive-programming credentials — Codeforces rating, ACM ICPC, top-5% Leetcode.
Open-source contributions are gold — link to PRs merged into notable repos.
For senior roles, include one system-design story with tradeoffs (why you picked Kafka over SQS, etc.).
Publications, patents, and Google-internal referrals help a lot.
Keep the resume clean, one page for <5 years experience, no photo, no colors.
